Elvis was devoted to his parents, Gladys and Vernon. Their picture is below the Elvis portrait. Both would move into Graceland with Elvis. He indulged in their various tastes, purchasing a hog pen for Vernon, and chicken coop for Gladys. Despite all this, his mother would never become comfortable in the relative opulence of Graceland.
